Tabcorp’s new Melbourne office offers an organic scalable solution from a conventional, linear envelope.  PTID designed a diversity of experiences across the floorplates offering a range of spaces and options for how and where to work.

Social areas are designed to minimise distraction to surrounding spaces but are central and readily accessible, retreat spaces are readily available for co-creation activities or focused work.  Curved circulation avenues are defined by changes in floor and ceiling treatment.

Our scope of works:

An internal fitout of a new 5-star NABERS energy rated* building over five floors.  As the major Sub-Contractor on the project, Balcross was responsible for all building works including partitions and ceilings.

A unique feature of this fitout was the requirement to install an interconnecting stairwell between levels 18 and 19 which involved cutting out the concrete slab and installing over 11 ton of structural steel plus spiral steel stairs.  The stairwell linked to existing intertenancy stairs, thus creating a five-storey void from Level 17 to 21 that was enclosed by slab to slab curved glass panelling.
